Welcome

Issaquah Open Mic is located at the Historic Train Depot Museum in downtown Issaquah at 78 1st Ave NE, Issaquah, WA 98027. Come join other local musicians at the Historical Train Depot Museum. Open Mic is established as a MUSIC ONLY venue. As such, no poetry, no readings or other narrative type performance are allowed. We thank you for your understanding.

Performance Schedule

The Open Mics are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month, however, for March the room is not available so we will meet on the 2nd Wednesday.

Player sign-ups go from 6:00 pm to 6:25 pm. We go live from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm depending on the number of performers who sign-up. We never know how many people will sign-up each month so 2-song/10" guideline applies only to those who sign-up for slots between 6:30-8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM performers may be limited to 1-song/5" in order to let everyone perform before closing.

The three following Open Mics will be held on February 7th, March 13th and April 3rd.

Acknowledgements

The Open Mic team would like to acknowledge the partnerships that help make our Open Mic's possible, the Issaquah History Museums, Downtown Issaquah Association and Issaquah Senior Center, who all contribute to make this venue a special place to hear and enjoy a wide variety of open mic performers every month.

OM Guidelines

1.

Musicians on the sign-up list are allowed 2 songs or a maximum of 10" to perform. This time includes your setup time and any talk to introduce your songs. Please respect your fellow musicians by being ready to perform when your turn comes up with your instrument tuned in advance and by limiting your song selections accordingly to fit within your 10" time slot.

2.

Should more than 12 people sign-up to perform, all names will be tossed in a hat and 12 selected. In order to accommodate as many performers as possible, some performers may be limited to one song as time permits at the end in an effort to allow as many to play as possible. After we begin, should there be additional performers show up (late arrivals), we cannot guarantee a slot to play nor more than one song as the goal of the Open Mic team is to get as many performers on stage as possible each month.

3.

A four channel sound system will be available with two microphones and two mic stands - and 1/4" instrument plug-ins. You may bring a small bass amp if you have one and need to use for your songs.

4.

Once you've performed, please do your best to try to stay around to listen to the other performers rather than leaving.
